YOUNG SOUND believes in a student-driven approach to learning, allowing exploration and self-expression to inspire creative output.
YOUNG SOUND provides industry standard tools, expert guidance, and collaborative spaces to empower young people to nurture their passion for music, hone their music production skills, and unleash their creativity.
YOUNG SOUND was founded by Sydney music producer Palassi Kailis. Palassi understands the pivotal role music and creativity play in supporting cognitive development and emotional well-being in young people.
At YOUNG SOUND, we use music as a vehicle for self-expression, creativity, and confidence. Kids are given the freedom to explore their sound, take creative risks, and lead their own learning. Through DJing, songwriting, and production, they discover who they are and how they want to be heard. It's about autonomy, not instruction — expression, not perfection — and building the kind of quiet confidence that comes from making something that’s truly your own.
Palassi lives in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and has spent the majority of his life honing his musical skills and dreaming to pass this knowledge on to the next generation of bright minds. His passion for music and love of working with children gave rise to YOUNG SOUND, a creative academy of pure exploration.
Palassi has been producing music since he was an early teen and has been involved in numerous bands & projects ranging from a funk electronic duo named Kayex, to a 2D children's musical cartoon which he can't fully disclose as it's currently being developed behind closed doors.
To improve 10,000 children's lives through community initiatives driven by music.
